(CDW-G) today announced that the Department of Treasury has awarded the company a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for the purchase of Hewlett-Packard (HP) products. Under the terms of the BPA, all Treasury bureaus will be able to purchase HP products such as notebooks, desktops, servers, printers, external storage devices, and accessories. The BPA, which was awarded in January after only a two-week bid process, is a one-year contract with renewal options through January 21, 2004. According to Daniel McLaughlin, contracting officer, chief departmental systems branch, IRS procurement, the Department of Treasury was looking for an alternative to the limited focus of most resellers.
