Ed Tech Magazine Debuts for K-12 Education Leaders

New Publication Provides Information To Help School Districts Apply Technology Effectively

Vernon Hills, Il - March 31, CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G) today announced the launch of Ed Tech, a magazine addressing the distinctive needs of information technology (IT) professionals, teachers and school administrators in primary education (K-12). The premiere issue will be sent to subscribers this week. It features three school districts from Ohio, Arkansas and Texas that are achieving significant productivity, educational and business benefits through the use of wireless devices. Additional features include a review of a Tablet PC pilot program and a look at the return-on-investment from PDAs in K-12 schools. Ed Tech is published by CDW-G, a leading provider of technology products and services to government and educational institutions.

Each issue will showcase innovative applications of technology in the classroom, offer tips and provide analysis of important technology issues facing K-12 schools. In addition, Ed Tech will profile individuals who drive innovation and change to achieve results.

"Ed Tech will be a valuable resource for exchanging information," said Jim Shanks, president of CDW-G. "K-12 schools can use the content to improve the quality of education. Because we communicate with educators and IT administrators from across the country everyday, we have gained a unique perspective about what technologies are working well in the classroom. Ed Tech allows us to continue to innovate and invest where we can provide additional value to our customers."

Ed Tech is a sister publication to State Tech magazine, also published by CDW-G, focusing on the state and local government technology market. Lee Copeland, who has written for a number of national technology trade and business magazines, serves as editor-in-chief of both magazines. Ed Tech will reach approximately 100,000 IT decision-makers and school administrators in K-12 schools. Qualified teachers, administrators and IT personnel in U.S. K-12 schools may subscribe by visiting CDWG.com/EdTech.
