CDW to Enhance Service for Western Customers With New Sales Office in Greater Phoenix

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - May 14, 2008 - CDW Corporation announced today the establishment of a new sales office in the western United States to benefit its growing customer base in that region of the country. The office will provide a closer, more personalized relationship with customers in the West.

A leading provider of technology products and services to business, government and education, CDW Corporation signed a long-term lease for a new sales office in Chandler, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix, to support its growth plans for 2008 and beyond. The 70,000 square-foot office space will be launched in two phases, the first of which will take place in June 2008. At capacity, the office will accommodate more than 500 CDW coworkers.

"This sales office will allow us to work more closely with the growing number of our customers based in the western United States. We look forward to providing them access to account teams and services professionals in their region for more timely and personalized customer service," said James R. Shanks, executive vice president, CDW Corporation. "This is yet another example of our continued commitment to staying ahead of the industry and providing the breadth and depth of service our customers have come to expect from us."

"Greater Phoenix is the ideal location for our new western sales operation," Shanks said. "It is among the nation's fastest-growing regions and consistently recognized for its entrepreneurial environment. It will also offer us access to local technology talent graduating from surrounding colleges and universities."

Though the majority of staff in the new sales office will be recruited locally, CDW plans to relocate more than 50 coworkers and managers from existing sales offices to help train the new local sales force and instill CDW's strong coworker culture and signature customer service philosophies. This approach helps to foster close working relationships between CDW coworkers and customers alike.

"CDW's presence in Chandler signifies its confidence in the technological prowess of our current workforce and will help retain the graduating talent in our 20 surrounding colleges and universities," said Chandler Mayor Boyd W. Dunn. "We look forward to partnering with CDW as they diversify an already dynamic employment base with 450 new jobs that will help serve the region's business and technology needs."

Commercial real estate services firm, CB Richard Ellis, represented CDW in the Chandler office negotiations. CDW also worked closely with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) to determine the best location in Arizona for its new sales office.
