Top Program Management Executive Joins CDW Government

Vernon Hills, Ill. - June 3, 2002 - CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDW Computer Centers, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDWC), today announced Kevin Adams has joined the company as vice president of program management. In this position, Adams will be responsible for managing government and educational customer programs and will oversee existing contract relations. Adams will be based just outside of Washington, D.C., in Lansdowne, Virginia, and will report to CDW-G President Jim Shanks.

"Kevin truly understands our customer-first business model," said Shanks. "He will be instrumental as we seek to expand our leadership position in this critical sector."

Prior to joining CDW-G, Adams served as vice president of program management for GTSI, a technology supplier to the government. In this position, he was responsible for bidding, securing and overseeing contract agreements. Previously, he held management positions with Sysorex Information Systems and Continental Dynamics.

Before Adams began selling to the government, he spent 20 years as a government purchaser within the United States Marine Corps, retiring with the rank of Major.

Adams earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.
