CDW-G Provides Best-In-Class IT Products and Associated E-Commerce Infrastructure To Support Multi-Billion Dollar, Multiple Award Air Force Netcents Contract

Company Partners with NCI in Small Business Set-aside Category

Herndon, VA - September 16, 2004 - CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G), a leading provider of brand-name technology products and services to governments and educators, today announced that it will provide computer hardware and software products under the Air Force Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) program. CDW-G is partnered with NCI Information Systems, Inc. of Reston, Virginia - one of four awardees in the small business reserve category of the contract.

The five-year, $9-billion multiple award - Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract - provides products and services such as engineering, software development, integration, security and telecommunications, as well as voice, video and data-hardware and software products. Approximately 20 percent of this contract is for hardware and software. The government will release task orders to all eight prime contractors to allow them to compete for service and product orders. The Air Force, Department of Defense and other select federal agencies can purchase from this contract.

As part of the NCI team, in addition to providing IT products, CDW-G will provide E-Commerce infrastructure to empower agencies with 24x7 access to the IT products available on the NCI award.

CDW-G will leverage CDW Corporation's 450,000 square foot automated processing and shipping facility with more than 80,000 products from leading manufacturers, to deliver the broadest range of IT products to NETCENTS customers, as well as provide them with rapid order turnaround, industry-leading order management and, importantly, product integration capabilities prior to shipping. CDW-G's scale ensures that it can easily manage federal agencies' order volume spikes while delivering leading customer service and support.

"The Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies own pressing requirements for leading technologies in real time," said Ken Grimsley, CDW-G vice president of strategic sales. "We are delighted to team with NCI to deliver scalable, network-centric solutions that accelerate defense transformation and empower agencies to meet and exceed their mission goals."
